The following are the highlights of the said activity:
There were 2,479 participants registered via Google form; 1,000 participants via Zoom platform; Facebook live have 7,469 reach; 3,000+ views; 835 reactions/likes+; 320 comments; and 253 shares;

The welcome remarks and acknowledgment of participants were delivered by PBGEN RANDOLF Y BALONGLONG, Director, CPSM;
PCOL EBRA M MOXSIR, Deputy Director and Chairperson, TWG for PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 of Chaplain Service lectured on the topic “A Case of Adaptive and Bridging Leadership: Battle of Marawi.” He shared his experiences in applying bridging leadership during his stint as Chief of Police, Marawi City during the Battle of Marawi. He also discussed the following:
Overview of Marawi;
Drivers of Terrorism and Violent Extremist in the Philippines;
Government Statistics on Human Toll; and
What still needs to be done in Marawi.
PCOL MOXSIR also shared the Good Governance in Islamic Perspective. He further discussed the following:
Purposes of Islamic Law;
Foundation of Good Governance in Islam;
Requirements of Good Governance in Islam;
Models of Good Governance in Islam; and
Sources of Good Governance in Islam.
Plaques of Appreciation and Tokens were given to the lecturer by PBGEN RANDOLF Y BALONGLONG, D, CPSM. He was assisted by PCOL ERCY NANETTE P MADRIAGA, Chief of Staff and Legal Officer, CPSM and PCOL BRIAN B CASTILLO, Chief, ARMD. PCOL MOXSIR was also given a special customized cake as part of CPSM’s appreciation and well-wishes for his retirement on June 12, 2022; and
PMGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON, TDO and Vice Chairman, TWG for PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 gave his message to the participants. He expressed his sincerest gratitude and warmest congratulations to the lecturer for sharing his valuable time to give a very educational and insightful lecture. He mentioned that complex leadership challenge of our time demands new breed police leaders, equipped with different leadership knowledge, skills, and values that will enable them to effectively handle complexity. This new breed of police leaders must enjoy credibility, integrity, and authority recognized by different sectors; understand the complexity of challenges and address the system that creates this output; bring diverse stakeholders to co-own the issue and its solution; and lead the process of coming up with new institutional arrangements and solutions to addressing complex challenges.
